Senatorial Candidate Urges White People to 'Take Our Country Back'

The Tea Party loves to argue that they are not racist. They claim they are simple (literally) Americans who are unhappy with the direction the country is going. Although these same people seemed to be loudly silent when President George W. Bush was shredding the Bill of Rights, running up the deficit and pursing two questionable foreign wars.

But here is one more piece of glaring evidence that shows the true motivation of the Teabbagers. Consider Glenn Miller Jr., who is running for Senate in Missouri. Miller, a convicted felon and white supremacist, made headlines when several stations ran his racist ads, and then realized their error and pulled them.

Miller's ads are the standard racist garbage with talk about white people being outnumbered by the "coons and mud people," but what is revealing is his other choice of words. His call to action is for God-fearing white folks to "take our country back." Where have we heard that before?

Radio Show Host Fired for Complaining about 'Black Guy' on Mural

Maybe it's the sun, but it seems that Arizona is battling South Carolina for the title of craziest state in the Union. In case you have not heard, Prescott got caught up in Arizona's latest racial flap when a local principal told an artist to make the children on multi-cultural mural look lighter.

The principal decided to change the mural because passers by were complaining about the "niggers" and "spics" on the mural. So the principal, in his wisdom, decided to cave into the sensibilities of the local racists. The story went viral and over the weekend local authorities have decided to keep the mural as it is.

One of the people complaining about the mural was local radio show host and councilman Steve Blair, who complained about the "black guy" on the mural. Apparently Blair was troubled by the fact that the black child was the largest figure on the mural claiming it had to do with "the guy in the White House." He didn't think this was fitting since Prescott is 92 percent white. Latinos are the largest ethnic minority at 8 percent. Basically Blair is saying Prescott is a white-dominated city and they want to keep it that way. Blair was recently fired by local radio station KYCA AM 1490.

Political analysts have said that much of the reactionary anger coming from the right is based on fear of white people soon losing their majority status. And that seems to be evident, because even in a city that is 92 percent white, people are troubled by the mere implication of the changing cultural dynamic.

SC Senator Calls Haley, Obama 'Ragheads'

It is evident that the GOP has a problem with race. Even though the party has a black chairman and fielded a string of black candidates in recent primaries, the Republican's racial problem refuse to go away.

In fact it seems the only way to be a black or brown Republican is by pretending to ignore the racial epithets bandied about by your fellow party members. After all, a few months ago, GOP Chair Michael Steele had to pucker up for professional race baiter Rush Limbaugh, after he had made criticized the shock jock.

Now South Carolina GOP State Senator Jake Knotts has used the word "ragheads," an offensive term for Arabs, to describe S.C. gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley and President Barack Obama. Knotts shows he is not only racist, but fairly dim. Haley is of Indian descent, and was never a Muslim. Obama is of Kenyan descent and was also never a Muslim, and on top of that Haley is a Republican! With friends like that ... I am sure Knotts considers anyone non-white to a "raghead."

As if South Carolina didn't have enough problems with the Confederate flag issue, bestiality cases, a philandering governor, who went AWOL, and a gubernatorial candidate, Haley, who is currently in the middle of two sex scandals!

Vampire Republican Thinks Obama is A Muslim, Favors Executing Illegals

If you thought the Tea Baggers were crazy, here is a Republican who makes them look sane. Jonathon "The Impaler" Shockey is seeking the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, which is not that strange, apart from the fact that he is a practising vampire.

Shockey is a perennial candidate who has unsuccessfully run for congress in Florida, New Jersey and Florida. Shockey is separated from the mother of his three kids, and has ran afoul of the law for his relations with teenage girls. He likes his "vampire brides" under 19.

Shockey also believes Obama is a Muslim and is in favor of impaling illegal immigrants and criminalizing abortion. The scary thing about Shockey is not that he is a vampire, who actually drinks blood, but how close his views are to mainstream Republicans!

FOX News Gives Viewers What They Want To Hear-- Even if It's Not True

Some of the best analysis of the United States media, comes from foreign sources, because they are often able to look at American news objectively.

Russia Today is an English language station broadcast out of Russia. They do a lot of news on America politics and the American media. In this interview with writer Michael Wolff, he explains why the American news media is dying.

Wolff says in today's climate, in order for a news organization to thrive, it has to understand its audience, and give them what they want. This is the reason why FOX News has been so successful. They have figured out their demographic -- angry, uneducated, white men -- and tailored their news to them.

So that means lots of anti-Obama and anti-Black stories, lots of leggy, blonde "newsmodels" and lots of stories about the Tea Party, which is largely made up of angry, white people. Who cares if any of the news is accurate or objective? According to Wolff, FOX's main goal is to get ratings, so it can sell products.

He also points out that advertising rates on FOX are lower than CNN's, because the FOX demographic is supposed have less education, and therefore less buying power!

Ex-Conservative Facing Death Threats

If there was any doubt that the American conservative movement has gone off the rails and is now feeding on itself like a bunch of crazy sharks, consider the case of Charles Johnson.

Johnson, the owner of the political blog, Little Green Footballs, made news last year when he penned an article laying out why he was washing hands of the right. He complaints included fascism, white supremacy, bigotry, rabid hatred of Obama and anti-science attitudes -- the usually stuff.

The story, while surprising, is not the first case of a political activist who had switched sides. Left-wing writers Arianna Huffington and David Brock, both started out as Conservatives. David Horowitz, once a hard-core leftist, is now a rabid right winger. However Johnson was hit by a flood of death threats and has now had to move to a gated community.

If there was ever a way to convince people you are not crazy, threating one of your own with violence is not it.

Surprise, Surprise A Racist Teabbager

The Teabbaggers have tried to strenously claim they are not racists, even though their rallies are a as devoid of brown faces as a J. Crew ad. But they seem to suffer the same problem as the Republican party who spawned them.

As much as they deny their problems with black people, the evidence keeps shooting them in the foot. Dale Robertson, a Teabbagers based out of Houston, is pictured with a sign that uses the N-word. On top of that, he didn't even spell the word correctly.

You can't make this stuff up. Teabbaggers responding by booting Robertson out of the party. Well, that is something.

Republican Faces Charges for Rough Sex

Meet Rod Jetton, a former Missouri state senator. As a legislator Jetton voted to maintain a state ban on gay sex and called it "deviate behavior." Jetton was recently charged with felony assault after her drugged and had rough sex with a girlfriend. (He claims she failed to use the safe word.)

Need I say that he is a Republican.

Tea Baggers Plan "Judgement Day"

Every time I watch the Tea Baggers they just seem to confirm how ignorant and uninformed they are. Here is a video from the Brad Blog, where blogger Brad Friedman interviews California Tea Baggers.

The thing that unites them is a hatred of Obama, although most of them can't explain why they hate him - at least not rationally. They are angry, but can't seem to focus their anger properly. They say they are against socialism, yet many of them voted for Bush who started all of these bailouts. And they are against higher taxes, but hate Obama, even though he has promised to cut taxes for people who make less than $250,000.

I doubt if people who make more than $250,000 are going to be out protesting with the Tea Baggers. I know several people who make that kind of money and they are not Tea Baggers. One of the Tea Baggers said he hated Obama because he was "Chicago politics." That is one of those political buzz words that really doesn't mean anything. It's a word they heard a million times on FOX and are now repeating. We really need to invest more in education in this country.

Glenn Beck's PR Rep is a Dem

The Washington Post is reporting that Glen Beck's PR rep is Matt Hitzlik, is a long-time Democratic operative who worked on Hillary Clinton's senatorial campaign. PR is a business, and PR reps often have to take on clients that who don't agree with it. I think the real hypocrite here is Beck, who sends a check to a liberal, who belongs to a group he claims to despise. This goes to show that Beck's nightly conspiracy rants are all an act. It's all about the benjamins and he will do business with whoever makes him money. For all your Beck fans, do you think a man who makes $27 million really cares about what ordinary people are going through?

The End of the GOP?

Republicans are still appealing to white males, even as Latino political might grows.
It has been said that one should not revel in the travails of others, but it’s hard to not to smirk at the current plight of the Republican Party. After all this was the same GOP that dragged us into two wars, sanctioned tortured and played a large part in the current financial mess. In addition, the GOP made an unholy alliance with Christian zealots to push “family values” down the nation’s throat, all the while harboring a large number of closeted gays within its ranks.
